Reeves talks about 077 deal: Davis said in the group, "They traded me" I thought it was a joke

Lakers player Reeves talked about how he learned that Thomas and Christie were traded to the Mavericks during his "The Old Man and The Three" podcast.

"The first message I saw when I picked up my phone that day was from AD (Damian Brow), and he said in the group, 'They traded me.' If you know Daamian Brow, you know he often joked. So I really smiled and put my phone down. But my phone kept ringing, and I suddenly noticed Shams' post jumping out, and I started to contact the team assistant coach and staff in various ways. An assistant coach was with Christie at the time and confirmed that the deal about Luka Doncic was indeed true," Reeves said.

This transaction involves three parties: Lakers, Mavericks and Jazz. The Lakers get: Doncic, Kleber, Markieff Morris; the Mavericks get: Davis (Anthony Davis), Christie, 2029 first-round pick (from the Lakers); the Jazz get: Sifino and 2 second-round picks (the Clippers' 2025 second-round pick and the Mavericks' 2025 second-round pick respectively).
