McTominay: Manchester remains my home in Naples first season

In the first round of the Champions League stage, Napoli lost 0-2 to Manchester City away. Napoli midfielder McTominay was interviewed by the media and talked about his feelings about returning to Manchester.

How does it feel to go back to Manchester? Is this place still like home to you?

Yes, it is indeed the case. This always makes me feel like home. My house is here and my family lives only an hour's drive away. So, for me, this has always been my home. But I also like Italy, I love everyone there, it's really good to go back to Manchester.

Although the results of the game are not ideal, it seems that your life in Italy has really settled down and you are also selected as the best player in Serie A. Did your first season at this club be even more successful than you expected?

Yes. For me, I have always been proud of my mentality and work attitude, and first of all, I have to make sure I am improving every year. So I just did my best to get into the penalty area here and create threats on the offensive end, which is something I really enjoy. It was an incredible season and a year I will never forget.

But as I said, top players, top professionals – whether in any field, sport or job – they have to repeat this performance constantly and strive to keep doing it. So I always keep my head clear and try to take the next step.
