Announcement

Clement Lenglet reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid, and the French international will sign until 2028. The centre-back is on loan to our club this season and will continue to stay in the team for the next three seasons.

Lenglet started his career with the Nancy Youth Team, making his first appearance for the first team in 2013, and helped the team advance to Ligue 1 in the 2015/16 season. In January 2017, he joined Sevilla and came to Spain, and soon became a regular starter for the team. After playing for one and a half seasons, he moved to Barcelona in the summer of 2018. He made 160 appearances for the Catalonian team and scored 7 goals, helping the team win a La Liga title, a Copa del Rey and a Super Cup in Spain. Since then, he has been loaned to Tottenham Hotspur (2022/23 season) and Aston Villa (2023/24 season), and then joined Atletico Madrid.

So far, he has played 34 times for our team, scored 3 goals and contributed 2 assists. His high performance has led him to return to the French national team recently to compete in the National League.

Congratulations, Clement!
