Chelsea are pleased to announce the signing of Jamie Gittens from Dortmund, and the winger's contract will last until 2032.
The 20-year-old has accumulated valuable experience in the Bundesliga and Champions League before coming to Stamford Bridge, and has made more than 100 appearances for Dortmund since his debut. He has also played for the England U21 national team.
Gittens transferred from Manchester City to Germany in 2020 and quickly joined the Dortmund first team. He made his debut at the end of the 2021/22 season and made a breakthrough in the following season, scoring his first adult team goal in August of the same year.
Gittens performed well in the Bundesliga, Champions League and German Cup, with 20 appearances and 3 goals. In the next season, he made 34 appearances in various competitions and contributed 10 goals.
Gittens continued to bring impressive performances to Dortmund in the 2024/25 season, contributing 17 goals in various competitions, and then represented the German team in the Club World Cup.
