Broker: Unless the Warriors raise their current quotation, Kumingga will soon accept qualification quotations

Today, ESPN Warriors Anthony Slater wrote an article reporting on the latest progress in the Kumingga incident.

Warriors forward Jonathan Cumingga's agent Aaron Turner told ESPN that unless the Golden State Warriors raise their current offer, Cumingga is about to accept a $7.9 million qualification offer.

"There are a lot of benefits," Turner said in an interview with the "The Hoop Collective" podcast. "He wants to choose where he wants to go. So, qualification quotations are definitely the real choice." The Warriors have proposed three different contract frameworks to the 22-year-old Kumingga. The richest one is a three-year $75.2 million contract, but the third year comes with a team option. The contract guarantees Kumingga can earn $48.3 million in the first two seasons.

He also received a two-year offer of $45 million, a second year with team options, and a three-year contract of $54 million without any options.

So far, during negotiations, Kumingga rejected all the plans before him. He asked the Warriors to change the team option to the player option so he would sign it.
