Official: Kleindienst renews contract with Borussia Mönchengladbach for one year until June 30, 2029

Borussia Monchengladbach officially announced that team forward Tim Kleindienst has renewed his contract with the club for one year, and the contract has been extended to June 30, 2029.
The 30-year-old German forward Kleindinstedt joined Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer of 2024. In his first season with the team, he played 31 Bundesliga games, scoring 16 goals and providing 9 assists. With this performance, he not only became the team's top scorer, but also the player who participated in the most goals in the team.
The 1.94-meter-tall center Kleindienst performed particularly well in the first half of the season. With his strong physical confrontation, tenacious fighting and smart running style, he scored 9 goals and contributed 5 assists in the first half of the 2024/25 season. These outstanding performances also earned him his first call-up to the German national team, and he scored 4 goals in the first 6 games.
In the second half of the season, Kleindienst continued his good form, adding another 7 goals and 4 assists. However, in the 33rd round against Bayern Munich, he unfortunately suffered a meniscus injury and was forced to miss the game for a long time. After months of grueling rehabilitation, Kleindienst finally returned to the pitch this week and completed his long-awaited first training session with the ball.
Mönchengladbach sporting director Reuven Schröder said: "Kleindienst quickly assumed a leadership role in his first year with the team and also made his debut for the national team. This season, he was appointed as our captain. We are very satisfied with his growth and performance. He is a leader on the field and we look forward to his return from injury. Returning to the team."
After renewing his contract with Borussia Monchengladbach, Kleindienst said: "I feel very comfortable in Borussia Monchengladbach. This is really an amazing, warm and passionate club. I am confident in the overall strength and future of the team, and I really hope to do my part to help the club return to the top."
