Official: Luis Carrion returns to Oviedo as head coach until the end of the season

Oviedo official website news, Luis Carrion returned to Real Oviedo and coached until the end of the season.

The Catalan coach, who was born on February 7, 1979, coached Oviedo in the 2023/2024 season and led the team to achieve remarkable results, successfully advancing to the promotion play-offs, and almost achieving the goal of promotion to La Liga.

In his latest coaching experience, he led Las Palmas in the campaign. He has also coached clubs such as Cordoba, Melilla, Numancia and Cartagena.

In this return, Carrion will work hand in hand with assistant coach Mikel Rico and fitness coach Cristóbal Fuentes. They will join a technical team that already includes goalkeeping coach Jesus Unanua and analyst Javier Benavidez.

The new head coach will conduct his first training session at the El Rey Caison Sports Facility starting at 10:30 am this Friday.
