AS: Kubo Takehide has not recovered from his injury and may miss the game against Sevilla

AS reported that Takehide Kubo's ankle has not fully recovered.

Real Sociedad’s La Liga match against Sevilla on Friday is approaching, and coach Sergio Francesco may choose not to take the risk of playing Takehide Kubo.

Although Takehide Kubo seemed to have overcome his ankle problem, he felt unwell again during the last training session before heading to Vigo and was therefore left in San Sebastian and did not participate in the team's 1-1 draw with Celta Vigo.

During the latest national team competition, Kubo Takehide participated in the second game of the Japanese team although he had not fully recovered. However, he felt unwell again before the game against Celta Vigo.

When asked whether Takehide Kubo could play against Sevilla, Francisco said: "He felt unwell again during the warm-up on Saturday, so we decided to keep him at home. We will see how the week goes and see if he can recover. We will face another one soon. The opponent is Sevilla, so it depends on his recovery this week. I hope he can play, but we have to wait and see.”

If Kubo cannot play in Friday’s game, his position will be replaced by Gonzalo Guedes, who performed well against Celta Vigo.

Considering that Oscarsson is also absent due to injury, Real Sociedad does not have sufficient manpower on the offensive end. The match against Sevilla will be followed by a Basque derby against Athletic Bilbao, with Kubo having been a key figure in the derby over the past few seasons.
