Carvajal angrily complained about La Liga s overseas games: It severely damaged the competition and prevented the team from competing fairly.

Real Madrid defender Carvajal was interviewed by Spanish national television station TVE. He was asked about the La Liga overseas game between Villarreal and Barcelona that will be held in Miami.

Carvajal: I think this is obviously a serious damage to the competition. It makes it impossible for all teams in La Liga to compete under the same conditions - and I think fair competition is crucial. We as players, as a club ourselves, have to uphold the principle of fairness first... We have to speak out for things that are fair, and I think this (referring to hosting La Liga games in Miami) does not do that.
